Do you think Alexander honestly felt like he was avenging Persian wrongs?

Alexander's father was killed by the Persians and that made him angry and he wanted to get revenge for that and also revenge for the Persian War. He invaded Persia because he was getting revenge for his father's assassination. But he kept winning battles so he kept going into more battles trying to conquer all of Persia. He was starting to get corrupted by all the power he had and battling wasn't just about getting revenge anymore. He just liked winning the battles and conquering more land. He let all the power get to his head. He thought he could win so many battles and have the whole world.
