The Ancient Greek Olympics and the Olympics now are different in many ways. Back then one main reason of the Olympics was to make men fit for military training. Also the Greek thought that gods championed a winner. Now the Olympics is more for fun and a way to compete against people from different countries around the world that are very good. It is also a form of entertainment for everyone at home watching it on TV. The Ancient Greek Olympics started with just one event which was a race. This was the only event for a very long time. Then after a while more events were added and now we are where we are today. I think that watching the Olympics would of been much more boring back then then it is now.
